Ever since I moved to Houston last year I’ve been searching for epic locations that would be perfect for my couples’ engagement sessions. When I heard about Hamilton Pools from a colleague I nearly fell out of my chair. It is such a beautiful place!
What I didn’t realize about Hamilton Pools is that, even though it closes at 6:00pm, they start moving everyone out half an hour before. Well we wanted an epic shot of the waterfall but there were so many people there (and the light wasn’t soft enough yet) that we decided to wait until everyone started making their way to the parking area. But that’s when the park employees started kicking us out. But we had driven hours for this shot and I wasn’t going to let a few rules get in my way. 😉
Steven distracted the park attendants for 5 minutes so we were able to capture the couple in front of the waterfall.
Jordan chose to wear our Brianna yellow tulle skirt. I love the shots of the train blowing! The pale yellow looks so pretty next to the aquas and blues of the pool.
After the park closed we still had a few minutes left of Golden Hour so we pulled over in front of a farm and took advantage of those last few minutes of golden light.
