Hey there all you amazing brides! I know wedding planning is SUPER stressful and it’s amazing how quickly the budget can run over. None of us are made of money, but I know your want your wedding to look as beautiful as it does in your head.
Most vendors, myself included, will tell you that florals are a big part of the overall design and that you should allocate a good portion of the budget towards your flowers.
That said, I always recommend that the bridal party have smaller bouquets, and make the bride’s bouquet a WOW piece. The bridesmaid will only have their bouquets for a few minutes, they own’t be photographed nearly as much, and after the ceremony is over, unless you are doubling them as florals for the tables, no one ever sees them again.
I’ve always hated silk flowers. To me they look inexpensive and fake and they never photograph well.
Or so I thought. Last summer I photographed a wedding that incorporated silk flowers and I was blown away by how great they looked. While I wouldn’t necessarily say they look real, they do look pretty.
