If you had asked me, when I was a teenager, “what’s the coolest thing a person could ever do at their wedding?” I would have undoubtedly said “The Time Warp!”
Thank you Sarah, for having such an awesomely weird family and for making my little inner 15 year old self smile! That brought back so many memories and it was such a hit with the wedding guests!
Sarah + Josh’s wedding day was also filled with bittersweet moments and touching gestures. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room when Josh danced with his mama or when Sarah danced with the man that became her father after she lost her own at such a young age. Their wedding day was a wonderful cause for celebration, and having just lost a parent the week before, I knew how hard the day was for Sarah, and I loved that she carried her father with her down the aisle, with his picture tied to her bouquet. These things that we do to honor our loved ones are so important, they help us feel connected to them on a day where, by any reason or logic, they would be there with us.
I’m so happy that these two have each other, as well as such a warm and fun family. Steven and I are so happy to have been a part of their day.
