I had the pleasure of hanging out with Laura both on her engagement session with Ryan, and during her bridal portrait session. She’s one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Her megawatt smile, big sparkly brown eyes, and her ability to laugh are some the best things about her.
For her bridals, I got to check out a new venue, Cy-Hope, in Cypress, Texas. With a forest of trees dripping with Spanish moss, the location reminded me a little of Brazos Bend State Park, where we shot their engagements. The mini chapel nestled behind the Alamo-inspired stone wall was a nice surprise.
Faith and family are very important to the couple, so their Catholic Mass was held at the stunning Guardian Angels Catholic Church. We got a few extra minutes with just Laura and Ryan after the guests left for the reception, and I just love the grand cathedral shots.
My favorite moment from the reception was during Laura’s father’s speech. He told the newlyweds, “I’m not losing a daughter, I’m gaining a son”.
