Autumn Wedding at The Orchard at Caney Creek, Vivian + Mike

November 7, 2019 by Amy Maddox Photography 1 Comment

Well folks, it’s been a week of fever, Kleenex, hot tea, and cold medicine but I just had to share this stunning wedding we did a few weeks ago. The colors brighten my mood, and that’s exactly what I need today :-). That and puppy memes, if anyone wants to send some my way.

One of the best decisions Vivian made when planning her wedding, other than picking the perfect groom, was booking the Orchard at Caney Creek as her venue. It is absolutely perfect. The orchards are beautiful in the autumn, the trees provide plenty of shade for early afternoon pictures, the sunsets there are stunning, and there’s a room in the second story of the bridal suite that has white bead board walls! I love white walls, it makes my light and airy heart so happy.

Vivian and Mike added many personal touches to their wedding day, and one of my favorites was the “Mrs. Benoit” calligraphy on Vivian’s denim jacket- that Vivian did by hand! Check her out at @sweetwaterletterco. Vivian also wore custom leggings with Mike’s and their dogs’ faces on them. Perhaps the most meaningful personal touch was that the person who officiated was Vivian’s childhood pastor. Her mother told us that he even confirmed her. And while their pups weren’t in the actual ceremony, we were able to get lots of photos with them and the newlyweds.

One of my favorite moments from their wedding day, and perhaps one of my all time favorite quotes from a bride, was during the first look with Vivian’s father. She had prepared a special tie for him that said “out of all of our walks together, this one is my favorite”. It didn’t even matter that the actual tie didn’t make it to the venue, it still had me, Vivian’s mom, and the bridal party choking back tears.

“All that I’m after is a life full of laughter
As long as I’m laughing with you
And I think that all that still matters is love ever after
After the life we’ve been through
‘Cause I know there’s no life after you”
