Liles and Weston were married earlier this month at the Crystal Ballroom in Downtown Houston Texas in a sophisticated and elegant celebration. Liles has impeccable taste and designed much of the decor herself and, with the help of Floral Events and Danyett at TwoBeWed, everything came together seamlessly. I love how she used fabric to wrap the chairs and create a train effect.
The bride shared a first look with her father and with the groom on the terrace of the Crystal Ballroom with downtown Houston as our backdrop. She looked absolutely stunning and Weston’s reaction was priceless.
We know that many of our couples are unsure of whether or not they should do a first look. The reason that many of them are hesitant is because they are afraid that, if he sees your before the ceremony, that he won’t have a strong reaction when you’re walking down the aisle. But this couldn’t be further from the truth, and Weston’s experience is a great example of that. There’s something about watching you walk towards him on your father’s arm that’s poignant and emotional. Also a first look tends to ease nerves, so the moment of you walking down the aisle is pure joy.
One thing that I loved about Liles and Weston is that they stuck to some traditions and threw others out the window. The wedding party consisted of guys and gals on both the bride and groom’s side, including a Best Woman.
After an evening of dancing, and a performance on the piano by the groom, the couple did a bubble send off and rode away in a Rolls Royce. You can’t get more classic and elegant than that!

“So, honey, now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I’m thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are”
