There are about a million and nine reasons to do a separate bridal portrait session before your wedding, the least of which so you can twirl around in your dream dress more than once.
Most women only wear their wedding gown for a few hours: the first time you try it on, the second when you have it altered, and finally, for just a few hours on your wedding day (that is, unless you’re like me and wear it around the house when no one’s around). But for most that’s less than 12 hours. Divide that by the thousands of dollars you’re spending on it and that’s just math I can’t do.
You’re spending so much time and money to find the PERFECT dress that hugs your curves in all the right ways or makes you feel like you’re in a fairy tale, so why only wear it once? That’s INSANE!!!!
But more than just indulging your inner princess, you NEED to know how your dress moves, how comfortable it is after more than 20 minutes, if it rides up, slides down, itches, catches, or if the straps aren’t secure.
Do you REALLY want to discover all that on your wedding day?
Worried about getting your dress dirty? I understand. That’s why I LOOOOOOVVE doing bridals at the Oak Atelier. It’s indoors, clean, and we don’t have to worry about elements such as rain or wind. I do still recommend putting clear tape on the bottoms of your shoes so they don’t get dirt or scratches (sometimes I photograph them on your dress on your wedding day).
Check out a few favorites from Megan’s bridal session last month! Now that’s she officially a married woman I can share them!!!
