A lot of things in the wedding industry have changed during the Covid pandemic, some of them not so great, other’s pretty stressful.
But one thing I’m digging is that more and more couples are taking the time to schedule couple’s pictures in their gown and tux, even when their weddings have been postponed or canceled. With so much up in the air right now, brides are finding that putting on their dress and twirling around with their fiance is the perfect pick-me-up in this time of disappointment. It’s so meaningful to have that time together, to dance, to hold each other, and to feel beautiful and create truly special memories together. And of course the photos can be amazing, and it’s an incredible gift to pass down to your children and grandchildren!
Some couple’s are doing a smaller, intimate courthouse ceremonies and then doing a portrait session in their wedding attire. The Oak Atelier in Conroe, Texas is still my favorite place to do these sessions because we don’t have to worry about getting your white dress dirty, and it’s such a beautiful location. And when you reserve both the Elm and the Willow (the glasshouse) you get the added benefit of an indoor and outdoor location.
So if your wedding has been delayed and you’re looking for something to make you smile then book a session and let’s create beautiful portraits!
