One of the first things I did when I moved to Houston, Texas a few years ago was pick up a copy of Weddings in Houston Magazine. As I flipped through those luxurious pages I came across photos of a wedding at Sandalwood Manor.
I bookmarked the page.
Not because I was getting married, but because Sandalwood Manor would now be at the top of my bucket list of venues I wanted to photograph. It’s so beautiful, timeless, and elegant.
So when Melanie and Karli, the dynamic duo at Whimsical Events, came to me with their idea for a chinoiserie styled shoot I was so excited to get the chance to check it out! First I had to google chinoiserie 🙂
We brought in some of Houston’s top wedding vendors and created a timeless, yet whimsical styled shoot. I love that Melanie and Karli paired the classic blue plate style with bright pops of fun, summer florals. The peonies were my favorite!
We were so excited to have this styled shoot featured at Weddings in Houston Magazine so I feel like I’ve come full circle! So if you’re a bride and you’re getting married there please call me! I’m dying to go back 🙂
