Christine and Kevin tied the knot at one of my FAVORITE venues, The Orchard at Caney Creek, two weeks ago in a beautiful sunset ceremony. Christine looked absolutely stunning in a timeless, classic lace and crepe gown with an illusion neckline. I was terrified to take that dress off of the hanger.
One of the things I love most about Christine and Kevin’s wedding was Kevin’s promise to the bride’s daughter, Ainsley that he would always treat her as if she were his own. (y’all know I have a soft spot for blended families). You could tell he meant it, and I thought to myself “he’s one of the good ones“. Some family members watched remotely via Zoom, as is the new custom in these uncertain times. But, while masks were required indoors and people were spaced 6 feet apart, Covid didn’t put a damper on the day’s festivities.
The Maid of Honor officiated, which goes to show you that it’s your wedding, you make the rules :-). When the person marrying you actually knows you I think it just means that much more.
I also enjoyed working with Christine’s vendors. Obliviously I love the Orchard at Caney Creek, I’d live there if I could, but I was also very impressed by Chelsea at Freedom Florals. Her designs had so much color and texture, and it was really fun to pair her florals with Christine’s details, like her bottle of Dreaming Tree wine that inspired her wedding style.
