I could barely sleep the night before Haley and Chad’s wedding. I was SO excited to get the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous girl again. I had so much fun hanging out with them at their engagement session in Hermann Park last spring, and again at her bridals at the Oak Atelier last month, where we improvised a sort of First Look with her grandmother and other important women that couldn’t make it to the wedding due to the Oh God When Is It Going to be Over Covid Pandemic.
On top of that I was pumped to shoot my first wedding at Jennings Trace, a wedding venue known for it’s abundance of natural light and minimalist, modern vibe. I had seen the venue while scrolling through Instagram and I couldn’t wait to get there.
Plus dusty blue is my jam.
One of my favorite moments from Haley and Chad’s wedding day was the Bridesmaids Reveal. Girls just never disappoint, do they? Haley’s Squad genuinely gushed and “ooohed” and “ahhhed” over her (she looked AMAZING), so I loved getting to capture that. The First Looks with Haley’s dad, and then later with Chad, were so sweet but also really funny. Haley joked that she had kept it together up until then but when she saw her dad for the first time it hit her.
There ceremony had so many sweet, endearing moments, and tons of lighthearted laughter. Chad’s a fan of dipping, and he’s pretty good at it, so one of my favorite shots of the day is him dipping her on the way out of the chapel.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. O' Donnell!
